Overview of Spiral Classifiers
Spiral classifiers are mineral processing and classification devices that use the rotation of spiral blades to classify and dewater materials. These machines are typically used in grinding circuits to separate fine materials that have reached the desired particle size and to return coarse materials to the grinding mill for further grinding.
Working Principle:
The working principle of a spiral classifier is based on the stratification of materials under the action of the spiral blade rotation. When materials are fed into the classifier, the rotating spiral blades push the materials upwards. During this process, fine materials, due to their smaller particle size and higher hydrodynamic resistance, will rise with the spiral blades and overflow from the top of the classifier, while heavier coarse materials, due to their larger particle size and lower hydrodynamic resistance, will sink below the spiral blades and are discharged through an opening at the bottom, returning to the grinding mill.

1.In order to match the drum feeder of the ball mill, a sand scarper is installd, which makes the ore pulp flow from the side to the drum feeder of the ball mill.
2.Some models of classifier adopt roling bearing instead of the original sliding bearing , which reduce the frictional resistance and avoid the frequent replacement and maintenance of bearing. In addition, the ZQ or ZL reducer is used for reducing the time of installation and maintenance.
3.The lubrication parts have been improved and the largesize products equipped with grease pumps to make the lubrication reliable.
Remark
1.While placing order,please specify the type,quantity,especially the spiral direction of classifier.
2.In order to be good matching with relevant ball mills,the lengthened type of classifier(lengthening the sand return zone, lengthening the settling zone)can be designed and made according to customer demands,and the length should be indicated.
3.This classifier has several revolutions if there is no special requirement,the normal rotate speed classifier will be provided.
